Samantha Austria is a senior double majoring in MCS and Psychology and is a Clamor editor at UWB. The daughter of first generation immigrants, she is proud to be the first in her family to attend and graduate from college. Her seemingly lifelong forays into creative expression produce personal pieces of love, mental health, and self-discovery she hopes will some day inspire the people around her to always be the best versions of themselves.

Caleb Brady, or “Cable” as he has been nicknamed, is an Interactive Media Design student at the University of Washington. He loves photographing people, and frequently does event photography and portraits. Cable also enjoys photographing the mundane and unsuspecting, and strives to bring out a new perspective in everything he takes a picture of. To him, every image is telling a story, and as the photographer, his job is to tell that story in a captivating way. 

Katharina 梁美花 Brinschwitz (kat-Ha-rina leung mei-fa brin-SH-wit-z) is an alchemist and word smith, fashioning tales from her experiences in both waking and dream states of being. Embodied wisdom married with her intimate connection to powerful erotic energy sourced from Mother Earth herself allows her to touch the hearts of readers across worlds.

Josie Cheung is a Senior at the University of Washington Bothell majoring in MCS.

Cheryl Chudyk is a Canadian artist based out of Kirkland, WA. She has a background in wedding photography, ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance, and dabbles in painting and comics. Her collage work has been published and exhibited in the US and Europe, she is the co-founder and co-curator of sharphandsgallery.com, the newsletter editor of The Northwest Collage Society and is a member of @thecollageclub on Instagram. She is always looking to make collaborative pieces with other artists.

Atlanta Duncan is an MFA candidate in the UW Bothell Creative Writing & Poetics program and Events Coordinator for the UWB Labor Colloquium. They were born in Providence, Rhode Island and grew up by the ocean. An interdisciplinary artist, writer, and half of the experimental punk band Johnny Ointment, they cultivate medicinal herbs as Avant Gardenz. Their work explores death, desire, folklore and the occult through a queer feminist lens.

Cyan Fuehr is a Senior at UW Bothell studying Media and Communications. This video was the first piece she’s ever made, directed, and produced. Enjoy!

Shiho Higuchi is a junior at UW Bothell currently taking up a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. She was born in Japan and grew up in Japan until 16 years old, and she moved to Washington, USA.

Blayre Lane is an Interdisciplinary Arts Major working towards their BA degree at the University of Washington Bothell Campus. For 7 years Blayre has been exploring photography and utilizing many different styles and techniques. There is still much more for them to learn but they have already made many breathtaking images.

Danny Malixi is a fashion-centric artist and aspiring designer. Calisthenics, photography and karaoke are some of his hobbies. Though he considers himself an aspiring designer, he prefers to be seen as a blank canvas—vulnerable to any one, any where, to any various crafts, practices, mentalities, influence. How will this blank canvas be painted?

Nicolette Natividad doesn’t know what they are doing. Life is coming at her from all angles, and she doesn’t know whether to dodge or let it happen. The art they present in this journal includes some made during a formative time in their life, a time of change and insecurity. She hopes you enjoy them and find a bit of yourself and comfort in them. Use it like a warm hug.

Mason Peterson is a queer, non-binary student pursuing creative writing at UWB. They’re passionate about poetry, fiction, and storytelling in all its weird and wonderful forms.

Chuck Rose is a queer, non-binary student at UWB and is going to school to help sex workers and fight for the world-wide decriminalization of sex work. They are double majoring in Community Psychology and Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality studies and graduate next year. They hope to attend UW-Seattle for their MSW Program in Fall 2024. Chuck can usually be located by their vibrantly colored hair with pink headphones slung over one ear, blasting heavy metal.

Isabeau Rosen is a Junior studying Media and Culture. She has over 10 years of experience as a digital artist. She is passionate about finding the beauty in the mundane and overlooked.

Marchie Sayas is a graduating senior at UW Bothell with a major in Media and Communications Studies and a minor in Visual and Media Art. Painting, graphic design, and various art practices are her passions. She loves to explore the arts and invites her community to explore their creativity as well.

Alexandria Simmons is a life-long writer of prose and poetry. Her works have shown a wide range of interests, using creative writing as a form of self-expression and as a means to herald differing perspectives on a controversial society. She has been published with various journals, for both short stories and poems, and has been recognized by the United States Army for trailblazing essays and speeches. Her recent writing interests include BIPOC representation, mental illness, femininity, folklorism, and culture.

John Tavares Born and raised in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, John Tavares is the son of Portuguese immigrants from Sao Miguel, Azores. Having graduated from arts and science at Humber College and journalism at Centennial College, he more recently earned a Specialized Honors BA in English Literature from York University. His short fiction has been featured in community newspapers and radio and published in a variety of print and online journals and magazines, in the US, Canada, and internationally. Matthew Livezey Whitehurst is a second year student of the Creative Writing & Poetics MFA program at UW Bothell. When he’s not writing, he’s making noise. Noodling on string instruments and sizzling food in a skillet.
