Flesh-Tide Rift

By Natasha Gardner

Five hand held mirrors lay on their back on a white sheet. On each mirror is a unique black and white image. The first image is a layered image of a person eating an apple, one layer is posed and proper, the other is smashed and messy. The proper layer is lighter in a ghostly manor. The second image in the series is of a naked curvy white female body from the side. Scratched out in the image are marks following along the woman's stretch marks. The third image is the body of a man without a shirt wearing dark pants. His hands are clasped together underneath a colostomy bag where a flower appears to be blooming. The fourth image is stitched together down the middle of a male and female body on either side of white stitches. The fifth and final image is of the back of a female body laying down as the curves integrate with hills and mountains making a sort of blended landscape within the image.
