Kat Seidemann, Four Seasons in Seattle

Downy falling snow

feathers plucked from angels’ wings

What a rotten thing to do

Back to bed

beneath a blanket of clouds

our sunny dispositions languish

Summer sunshine
unanswered prayers
hope, like clouds, lingers

Trees blush sly crimson

then coyly shed gaudy frocks

Autumnal burlesque
