Einstein said: the Fourth World War will be a war of stones
But he was wrong; the War of Stones had started, in a Third World way, already
But he was right: that it would be a War of Stones, because he helped –
He helped create a little State where stones are thrown with deadly skill
Then tanks roll in, and throwers fade away; the tanks retreat, and throwers fill the street

And so it goes, in fits and starts, Daood against goliath David
Einstein said: the Fourth World War will be a war of stones
But Einstein lacked the brains to see the War of Stones would be a war he’d help create –
The conflict played-out every day beneath the warming sun that beats upon a geographic sliver
Within that rocky pathway, North to South, the tribes that ruled had beaten-down the lesser ones

Amongst the ruling tribes, the Prophets came and went, their warnings disregarded
The Prophets told of cities turned, in time, to piles of stones; but leaders laughed –
The Prophets went ignored; so too were piles of stones, until one day –
A day would come when Einstein saw a future war, a War of Stones
But he was wrong; the War of Stones had started, in a Third World way.
